Shelley Simon

Shelley Simon, happily married to her husband Dave for 34 years, studied elementary education before dedicating 19 years to homeschooling her six children, now aged 15- through 30. She served as a drama director at Providence Fine Arts for 9 years, helping to design sets and direct productions. Shelley also taught a “Young at Art” class for 4 years, which included instruction of students aged 4-7 in Kindermusik, drama, and playing recorder. Shelley taught Pre K at TCA for 6 years and is excited to be back in the classroom. When she grows up she wants to be Mr. Rogers and Ms Frizzle. Shelley is passionate about providing hands-on experiences for her students and helping them develop a firm foundation for a lifetime of learning and seeking biblical truth. Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, being active in her church, playing games with family and friends, sewing & crafts. She also likes outdoor activities; including water skiing, hiking, and biking.
